The Japan Market Expansion Competition (JMEC) is a unique executive education program that brings together professionals from diverse industries and backgrounds to solve real business challenges for actual clients. This specialized program – supported by the ABC and 17 other foreign chambers of commerce – is aimed at young professionals, mid-career professionals, entrepreneurs, and anyone looking to broaden their horizons and upgrade their business skills while living and working in Japan.

Working in multicultural teams and guided by experienced executives and successful start-up founders, participants will gain hands-on experience in business strategy, market research, financial planning, project management, and business plan development. Conducted entirely in English, JMEC provides a practical environment for strengthening communication, presentation, leadership, and collaboration skills while building valuable connections across Japan’s international business community.

The program includes both online and in-person lecture sessions, allowing participants throughout Japan to take part. With a strong focus on career development, business innovation, entrepreneurship, and hands-on learning, JMEC offers an educational experience unlike any other in Japan.
