DESCRIPTION:In Japan\, half a dozen “General Trading Companies” or “Sōgō Shōsha” have been among the most influential players in both foreign as well as domestic trade for decades. Marubeni\, Mitsubishi\, Mitsui\, Itochu\, Sumitomo\, Sojitz and Toyoda Tsusho are true trading giants with annual turnover in the many billions of Euros. Their worldwide activities include production and trading in all sorts of products from bulk raw materials to consumer goods and investment in the supply chains of a diverse number of industries\, as well as acting as organizers of infrastructure projects.
